It’s a dog’s life...but with a difference

PIPED music and televisions in centrally-heated rooms sounds like a great place to relax on holiday – but especially if you are a dog!
A new luxury hotel for dogs has been established by a Hensingham man who believes that nothing is too good for your pets.
Tony McCartney has developed the Pampered Pets Hotel, along the A595, on Winscales Moor, just off the Lillyhall Roundabout, after realising there was a gap in the market for anxious owners who wanted to go on holiday but who were worried about leaving their pets in ordinary kennels..
At The Pampered Pets Hotel owners can also check on their pets because the rooms have 24-hour web-cams.
Tony said: “I have had dogs all my life and anyone who thinks this hotel is too good for pets is not a dog lover.
“If you love your dog you will do anything to have it well looked after.’’
Tony will be holding open days today, Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm, for dog owners to come along and take a look around.
His wife, Amanda, is currently under-taking a dog grooming course and the couple plan to build a hydro-therapy pool and have further plans to expand the business. For more information contact the Pampered Pets Hotel on 01900 873373.
