MILLOM youth will benefit from a cash grant of £30,000 which has been given by Copeland Homes to the Millom Youth Partnership.
The grant, which is payable over three years, will go towards the running costs of this project.
The Youth Partnership supports 160 young people aged between 11 and 19 in Millom and Haverigg, offering a wide range of activities. The aim is to provide a similar scheme for those in the eight to 10 age range in the coming years.
Roland Woodward, trustee and treasurer for the Partnership, said: “I am extremely grateful to Copeland Homes. This will help Millom Youth Partnership to extend provision of activities for young people in the Millom area over the next three years.”
