Gosforth Show goes ahead

Gosforth Show is going ahead today (Wednesday) despite heavy rain over the last few weeks.
Horses and ponies will take pride of place, with another strong entry for the equestrian events. Terrier racing will be another popular attraction along with children’s sports, a dog show, children’s pet show, industrial tents and a poultry section.
There will be hound trails and Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling. The grand parade is due to start at 3pm
Next Wednesday, August 27 sees Ennerdale and Kinniside show taking place at Kirkland Leaps showfield.
