Route to raising funds

THE Whitehaven Cycle Fundraisers group undertook an arduous ride last June from Whitehaven to Edinburgh in just one day.
Nearly 30 riders took part and raised £6,700 plus gift aid of £986 which they presented to West Cumbria Hospice at Home. Gillian Chadwick, from Hospice at Home, is pictured accepting the cheque from Graeme Rhodes (right), one of the ride organisers, and Ian Finlay from the cycle committee. Missing from the picture is fellow organiser, Sam Guy.
