THE third Primary League event was held at Keswick School last week on a cool breezy day, when almost 300 pupils competed on the five parallel courses.

Very fast times were recorded by Paul Eaton (Beckermet) and Jonty Fish (Eaglesfield Paddle), both getting under five minutes.

Tania Wilson of Broughton was the highest placed girl, maintaining her premier position in the league.

Very few failed to complete the courses correctly. With so many controls out on the course it was important to stay in contact with the map to identify the correct code.

With the events moving away from school grounds for the remainder of the series, the courses will become more challenging.
