CLEATOR Moor Celtic have won the Shipowners Charity Cup following a thrilling penalty shoot-out victory over local rivals Whitehaven Amateurs in Friday night's final.
Cleator Moor Celtic team celebrate winning the Ship Owners Cup after the game at Whitehaven County ground
The sides were locked at two goals apiece - Karl Fillingham (2) for Celtic and Darren Donald and David Dustin netting for Whitehaven - but a crucial penalty save from Celtic's Brian Miller from Mally Holliday in the shoot-out gave Celtic the cup.
It was a double blow for Whitehaven, who missed out on promotion to the Northern League earlier in the week by virtue of a victory by rivals Jarrow.
